Orange Group forest experience got off to a bumpy start with bad weather and a troublesome mini bus. However once they got going they certainly made the most of it.
The children enjoyed the challenges of exploring the forest but most of all they developed a real sense of working together.
The children gained lots of skills which have helped in developing the respect for each other, talking and negotiating, determination and perseverance, exploring and investigating the natural environment.
They enthusiasm and motivation continued back in school with investigations about puddles where the children developed a filtration system to discover why puddles are brown!!!
Potential scientists in the making!
