Safeguarding

Oxclose Community Nursery School is committed to the safeguarding of all children in our care. We maintain a ‘culture of vigilance’ to ensure all children are protected and feel safe.
Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. We recognise that nursery staff play a particularly important role, as they have regular contact with children and their families. We will take prompt and effective action in order to address any concerns that arise. We will maintain and continue to enhance a positive whole-school safeguarding ethos.
All staff receive regular training and maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here.’ When concerned about the welfare of a child, staff members must always act in the best interests of the child.
Designated Safeguarding Lead: Miss Ruth Brown
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: Mrs Lorraine Brown and Miss Annie Mann (DSL)
Safeguarding Link Governor:  Mrs Diane Blanckley
